Everything Your Ward Needs, In One Place

Messaging, sacrament meeting, callings, scheduling, and ward council — one free app built around how a ward actually runs, from the bishopric down to every member's phone.

Get Ward Herald for Your Stake

Sound Familiar?

Every ward reinvents the wheel with tools that weren't built for it — and it all resets the moment callings change.

📱

Fragmented Tools

Announcements split across texts, email, and Facebook. Sacrament programs in a Word doc. Callings tracked on sticky notes. Nothing talks to anything else.

🔄

Leadership Turnover

New callings mean rebuilding contact lists, schedules, and tracking spreadsheets from scratch. Institutional knowledge walks out the door.

📭

Things Fall Through the Cracks

A calling stalls mid-pipeline. An announcement gets buried in an inbox. An interview gets forgotten. There's no single place tracking it all.

One Platform, Built for How Wards Actually Work

Ward Herald is organized around the stake → ward → group hierarchy your organization already uses, with permissions driven by church callings — not logins to manage or roles to configure. Sign in with Google, or join with a tap and an invite code.

Everything You Need, All in One App

Not just a messaging app. A full toolkit for running a ward or stake, week to week.

Messaging

  • • Push notifications that land on the lock screen — no email filters, no algorithms
  • • Target Elders Quorum, Relief Society, the whole ward, or the whole stake
  • • AI-assisted drafting — turn a few bullet points into a polished message
  • • See who received and opened every message you send
  • • Made a typo or need to pull a message back? Edit or delete it after sending
  • • Two-way group chat for callings and committees that need back-and-forth

Sacrament Meeting

  • • Drag-and-drop conducting notes — hymns, speakers, prayers, ward business, all in order
  • • A phone teleprompter for whoever's conducting, with AI-refined scripts
  • • A digital program every member sees on their own phone during the meeting
  • • Speaker and prayer assignments with invitations, history, and reminders

Callings & Releases

  • • A real pipeline — propose, appointment, extend, sustain, set apart, done
  • • Nothing stalls quietly. Every calling in progress is visible to the bishopric
  • • Works at the stake level too, including confidential high council sustaining votes
  • • No more sticky notes or "wait, did we ever set them apart?"

Scheduling

  • • A Sunday calendar for the bishopric — set availability, book interviews
  • • Stake temple recommend interview nights with automatic slot booking
  • • Stake presidency calendars for their own interviews and appointments
  • • Leaders and members both see upcoming appointments, right on their phone

Ward Council & Agendas

  • • Build bishopric and ward council agendas in minutes, not a blank Google Doc
  • • Action items with assignees and due dates that actually carry forward
  • • Ward council members submit their own items ahead of the meeting
  • • RSVP tracking for events, so you know who's actually coming

Youth Interviews

  • • A clear dashboard of who's overdue, coming due, and current — at a glance
  • • Tracks on a maintenance schedule, not a birthdate — we don't store those
  • • Bulk import to start with your youth's existing history, not a blank slate

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this an official tool of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints?

No. Ward Herald is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in any way. It is an independent tool built to help ward and stake leaders run their organizations more effectively.

How much does it cost?

Ward Herald is free. This was a problem that needed solving, so we built it. If you'd like to contribute a small amount toward hosting costs, we appreciate it — but it's entirely optional and the service will always be free to use.

Does this replace the tools the Church already provides?

No — Ward Herald works alongside the Church's own systems (like LCR), it doesn't replace them. Think of it as the day-to-day operational layer on top: the messaging, sacrament programs, calling tracking, and scheduling that those systems don't handle.

Is my data protected?

Yes. Everything is hosted on AWS infrastructure. All communication is encrypted in transit with TLS, and all stored data is encrypted at rest. We store as little personal information as possible — just your name, which you can change at any time. No phone numbers, no email addresses, no other personal details required to receive notifications.

I'm on a member list and want to be removed.

No problem. Send us an email at support@wardherald.com and we'll take care of it right away.
